Lady With Mask

I was on my way to meet someone and this lady with a mask on her face caught my attention. I stared at her for a good few seconds to make sure I was seeing the right thing.

I'm not talking about real masks. I'm talking about the kind of skin care cream people apply on their faces, the type that hardens to form some sort of mask which can either be wash off or pull off. You know, the ones beautician use..............

That was quite a puzzling sight, because she was wearing office attire with that green skin care mask on her face!

Erm............ no comments, just shocked.

Encounter With a Cute Kid

Was talking to this cute pri school boy(WN). He's one small boy with a big voice. So I supposed everyone in the room heard our conversation:

WN: I want to play MapleStory

Me: Nope, you're can't. Not allowed

WN: You know what is MapleStory meh?

Me: You think I never play meh (actually I don't, hee. I love mushrooms too much to shoot them)

WN: What level are you?

Me: Don't tell you leh. I got Gear of Wars (With a proud grin)

WN: What's that (Still as loudly as before)

Me: You don't know one lah.

WN: What is Gear of War? ................ What level are you? (Still on that MapleStory thing)

Me: I got many Xbox games (stretching my hands to show the size of my stack)

Our conversation ended abruptly because another adult came by and stopped WN from talking.

For a moment, I was quite tempted to start MapleStory so that next time, I can show off my level.

CNY2007

It's still officially Chinese New Year though most are already back to work.

What made CNY so special for me is always the time, laughter and fun with family members. I really would say, the reunion dinner is one of the best part of our Chinese culture. It is like an unspoken date with our family, no matter which part of the world we're in, we'll be back home and dine together before the year ends. For me, this is especially meaningful. It's good to see the family growing, with more imported members. It's good to see that we click well. Hope that our relationships will deepen as years goes by. Afterall, the only reason why we're related in this special way is divine appointment.

All that fun, food and entertainment this holiday leaves me extremely satisfied (grin)

Drowsy

Woke up with a mild cough, so decided to take some cough mixture. It made me so super drowsy. Had to fight hard not to doze off while doing stuff.

Then again, I confess I love this drowsy feeling, it's so comfy and nice, hee

Spring Cleaning

Going through old stuffs always makes me somewhat emotional. I read with fondness, the letters, cards, messages from friends and family members.

I still keep those little cards and drawings from Small Fish and Boon Five. They did those when they were kids. I also chanced upon this set of stickers lala gave me when we were studying in the same school. They bring back such fond memories.

Yupz, I'm one of those who like to keep things which has sentimental values. They are like some kind of time machine, looking at them brings me back in time. It's beautiful to play those scenes in my mind and relive the moments.

Too emotional? Nah......... because a large part of life is about building and sharing beautiful memories.

Photos

I was just browsing some photos taken over the past few years and noted the weight lost. Hmph....... All that gym routines are effective.

Looking back at the past always give me this strange feelings. These moments feel like yesterday, yet so much have moved on. People have progressed and so much have changed.

Sometimes, it feels like we're in a stream sailing along, we're moving all the time, just that we're not noticing. When we look back, we realized the distance we've covered.

Anyway, I've decided to make a conscious effort to take more photos.......... so that I can always look back with fondness, the journey I've walked.

Candle

My name is candle. I exist to shine in darkness. Because the smallest light can be seen in the darkest night.

Because destiny has brought us together, I hope your life will be touched in one way or another. Our relationship can last for a life time, or perhaps, it's meant to be temporal. But because our path has crossed, I hope I'll be a blessing to you........ That's what I aspire to be.... a Star Maker.

Towards those that has been entrusted, I wanna make you into a star........

Cold and Wet

I was looking forward to a Sunny Singapore when I flew back from Beijing. But gosh, it has been raining heavily here. hmph.......how can I forget, it's rainy season now. Apart from the hassle of carrying unbrellas and getting my jeans soaking wet, I actually quite like the weather. Perhaps I've grown used to cold weathers. After experiencing the -11 degrees, the air con and rains that used to make me shiver is now nothing, haha :P

In my last entry, I wrote about the wonderful people I met during the trip. One of the gals, CRS, has been smsing me these couple of days. It's fun texting her. I wonder how are the rest doing, S, LRS and everyone.

The trip has somewhat changed something in me. I don't feel like taking life too seriously anymore. I mean, it's really no good leading a stressful life and always on the rush. Why do it if it makes one miserable. Somehow, my perspective of things changed. I'm beginning to think, one must always treat oneself well...... then everything else appear beautiful. Basically, never deprive ourselves.

Did I say that I actually took on a holiday job just before I left for my trip? Wanted to explore abit. But that means I can't meet Pachi for lunch until the contract completes. I miss Pachi and guys. Gonna call her soon, but meanwhile, it's many many things to settle and errands to run.........

Eight Nights In Beijing

It's hard to believe I'm back here in Singapore, sitting at my window seat.

The eight days in Beijing felt like the longest time. Let's just say, I almost forgot I have a life here.

About the trip.... hmph........ visiting the historical sites bring all that China history I've learnt to life. There's nothing like experiencing the real thing. Climbing the Great Wall was a dream come true for me. For several reasons, the Great Wall has special meaning to me. I wrote this thesis on the Great Wall and it won me a distinction. I stood in the watch tower and looked across the hills.... I was thinking, wow, I wrote about this part, now I'm here.........

I had wanted to climb higher, but I was fearful of rolling down :P

I met the five most wonderful kids during the trip. One boy and four gals. The oldest is 12, and the youngest is 6. Had he greatest time with them. I always believe, every appointment is devine. Set and planned by our creater, that we all come at this point of time, to this particular place ad get to know each other. Time always move us on..... and life always progresses, but I shall always bring with me, their beautiful smiles.

And next trip, probably I'll head for HK, hmph..... see how it goes bah ^_^

Monkey Eats Chilli

Have you ever fed a monkey with chilli?

I have, when I was like three years old. And it got so angry with me.

I wasn't mischievous, just that, in our farm, we kept a monkey as pet. Every morning, I'd pick some fruits and give it to the monkey. There was this morning when I couldn't find anything except chilli. So I decided to just give it to the monkey :P It got mad at me and started hissing. That was the last time I ever got near that monkey.

Guess what? I did it again today, I fed my pinata monkey with chilli, and it mutated!!!

I took a short break from my assignment and got my hands on my viva pinata. But only for a short while.

Currently I have three pinata gardens. One with does, squirrels, rabbits and foxes. The foxes are really naughty.

The second one is a chilli farm.

The third one is my fav. It has got horses, sheeps, dogs and monkeys. I used to keep a pony there but it wouldn't stop fighting with the horses. So I had to get rid of it, sob sob............. though I like it alot.

The game has been absolutely fun until Professor Pestor appeared, and I'm only at level 24. It's a total pest. It killed my prized mutated monkey. But I quickly off the xbox before it auto saves that scene.

Celebrate The Season

I simply adore this year's Christmas deco along orchard road. To me, they looks like golden apple trees. With the mushrooms surrounding the trees, there is somewhat a fairy tale touch to it. I thought they look fascinating. Must must must remember to take photographs of them.

He humbled Himself,
He went from commanding angels to sleeping in the straw,
From holding stars to clutching Mary's finger,
The palm that held the universe took the mail of a soldier.
Why?
Because that's what love does.

Viva Pinata

I hooked!!! Somebody help me :P

Yes, to this 360 game call Viva Pinata. It's about creating and taking care of your little virtual garden. You can plan trees, watch them grow and attract totally cute cuddly pinatas.......... ooohhh.............. they are so irresistibly adorable.

Currently, My garden has got apple trees, rabbits, birds, butterflies, fox, ants.......... etc............. and I built nice animal houses for them in my garden.
I've dug two ponds. Next time, I'm gonna plant more interesting plants around the ponds, yay :D

The garden is sort of an ecosystem, so sometimes, the animals will eat each other. Two of my rabbits got eaten by the foxes, sob sob.......... and the snake ate my mouse........... grrrr!!!!!!!! And I accidentally killed one of my pitana :P I was supposed to chase off some bad guy, then accidentally hit my pitana instead :( Anyway, I learned the trick. To prevent the pinatas from eating each other, you've got to keep feeding them with candies. I kept buying candies for my pinatas, especially the foxes, I dun want them to eat my rabbits.

Yah, it all sound really childish, but I'm simply hooked to it, just like many adults all over the world are.

I can't stop thinking about my virtual garden and what I'm gonna do with it. But right now, CK is using the xbox, so I've got to wait :( Whine............ no choice

A Mugging Small Fish

I was just checking out Small Fish blog and there were no entry................. again. Small fish fish has been mugging so hard for her 'A's. Sob...........This is the first time she feels so far away. Can't even get updates from her blog. Sad huh................

Did I say I hate exams.......... yah, I hate exams. Can never understand the rationale. Can a 3 hour paper really represent 2 years of hard work? Hmph, I certainly have my doubts. That's why I always always prefer assignment based modules.

Woke up to a morning full of thoughts about life, about people................... about how we spend our time. I guess I'm too particular about making things ideal, so that there will always be flash backs of beautiful moments. But what if the beautiful moments are spent with the wrong person, are they still beautiful?

Lately, I learned that life comes in seasons................. and phases. Nothing new, but never felt it so strongly before. Not every phase is meant to last forever, so sometimes, there is no real need to perfect situations in temporal phases.

Sounds like I'm talking Greek? Yah, typical of me.............. I'm just thinking out loud.
